04/10/26 - CRG Member Bekah Kim Lands Summer Internship
The Community Research Group is proud to state that one of our junior research assistants Bekah Kim will be working as a judicial intern this summer with Judge Ostuni in the Chancery Division of the Bergen County Superior Court. In this role Bekah will be assisting with legal research while also gaining exposure to equitable proceedings. She looks forward to deepening her understanding of the judicial process and we in the CRG Lab wish her a wonderful experience.
04/09/26 - CRG Member Kate Loughran joins Thacher & Barlett
Kate Loughran has joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP as a litigation paralegal. 04/09/26 - CRG Member Zoe Wen is Harvard Bound
Zoe Wen has been accepted to Harvard Law School and has recently confirmed her enrollment. Harvard Law is renowned for its distinguished faculty, rigorous academic program, and long history of producing leaders in law, government, and public service. We’re proud to celebrate Zoe’s accomplishment and wish her the very best as she embarks on this next chapter.

03/14/25 - Gabriella Cawley Poster Presentation
We are pleased to share that PhD student Gabriella Cawley has been accepted to present a poster at the ALS Conference in Reno this year. Her poster, titled “What Are My Chances? A Longitudinal Analysis of Perceived Likelihood of Avoiding Future Legal Trouble in Justice-Involved Youth,” examines how justice-involved youth perceive their chances of avoiding future legal trouble over time and explores how these perceptions develop across the adolescent years.
We are excited to see Gabriella’s work recognized and shared with the broader research community.
11/14/25 - Mara Lewis Poster Presentation
We’re proud to share that CRG member Mara Lewis, who is currently studying abroad in Bath, presented her research poster at the UK Laidlaw Scholars Conference at Durham University. Congratulations to Mara on this accomplishment — we’re very proud of her!
11/13/25 - Jennifer Woolard to Speak at National Roundtable
We’re excited to share that, Dr. Jennifer Woolard, will be participating in the national roundtable Prosecuting Youth as Adults: Policy, Research, & Practice on November 13 at 12:30 PM ET.
The event will bring together experts to discuss current laws, research on adolescent development, and the impact of prosecuting youth in adult courts and facilities.
The roundtable will be held at the McCourt School of Public Policy (125 E Street NW, Room 440) and is open to both in-person and virtual attendees. Lunch will be provided for those attending in person.
11/12/25- Lab Member Speaking
We are proud to share that Graduate Student Gabriella Cawley, Lab Manager Cesar Perez, and CRG alumnus Michael Parker have been invited to serve as guest speakers for Psi Chi’s Post-Grad Pathways event. The session will be held on November 12, 2025, in White-Gravenor Hall, Room 311-B.
We look forward to seeing our lab members participate in this important event and share valuable insights with undergraduate students about the opportunities available to them after graduation.
