DePaul University’s Center for Community Research is looking to hire a full-time Project Director for the Violence Prevention grant. This study is focused on culturally tailored, cognitive-behavioral group stress prevention intervention for urban, low income African American adolescents in Chicago.
Duties for this position include:
-  Direct and facilitate all project development, operations, and staff in a university office and community setting (40%)
-  Maintain close contact with consultants and key community figures regarding data collection and the overall progress of the grant (20%)
-  Assist in the recruitment and training of staff and volunteers (15%)
-  Assist PI in writing research papers and reports (15%)
-  Assist PI in strategic planning, developing budgets, and setting timelines (10%)
 
Educational Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree with special focus in clinical, community, or experimental psychology
 
Other requirements:
- Knowledge of SPSS and data management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Participation in weekly project meetings
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
