The Early Childhood Cognition Lab at the University of Washington, under the direction of Dr. Jessica Sommerville, is now accepting applications for a summer internship. The goal of this position is to provide hands-on research experience to highly motivated students interested in cognitive development.
Interns will work closely with the professor, lab coordinators, graduate students, and each other, and will be involved in many areas of the research process, including recruiting participants, reading relevant literature, creating stimuli, and conducting studies. Interns will attend weekly lab meetings to discuss research studies, and will have the opportunity to present on the projects they are assigned. We hope that interns will take away a better understanding of cognitive development and what it means to be a researcher.
This internship is unpaid, will be held Summer 2015 and requires a minimum of 32 hours of work per week. Please read more about applying on our website at http://depts.washington.edu/eccl/index.html. Applications for this position will be accepted until May 1st 2015.
