The Psychology Department at Michigan State University is seeking an outstanding psychologist with

expertise in quantitative methods for an assistant- or associate-professor level tenure system appointment effective August 16, 2017. We welcome applications from scholars in any area of psychology, particularly those with interdisciplinary interests. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong program of visible research, seek external funding, and commit to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Although quantitative methods do not need to be their primary research focus, we are especially interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following approaches: longitudinal methods, multi-level modeling, measurement/psychometrics, multivariate methods, advanced structural equation modeling techniques, latent variable models, categorical data analysis, Bayesian data analysis, computational modeling, meta-analysis, propensity score analysis, and/or system dynamics. Interest in teaching classes in some of these areas is desired. The person filling this position may affiliate with any of the six graduate programs within the department: Behavioral Neuroscience, Clinical, Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience, Ecological/Community, Organizational, or Social/Personality.
