The Psychology Department at Weber State University (http://weber.edu/psychology) invites applications for two tenure track faculty positions the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking outstanding individuals with teaching and research experience in (1) Developmental Psychology and (2) Health or Community Psychology.
For the tenure track position in Developmental Psychology, the successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to teach Introductory Psychology, Child Psychology, and Adolescent Psychology, as well as capstone courses and electives in the area of speciality. We seek a candidate strongly committed to undergraduate education with an active research program that can involve undergraduates. For the tenure track position in Health or Community Psychology, the successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to teach courses in Health and/or Community Psychology, Introductory Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, perhaps Social Psychology depending on the area of expertise, and capstone courses. We seek a candidate strongly committed to undergraduate education with an active applied research program that will involve undergraduates. Review of applications will begin October 15, 2016 and will continue until the position is filled.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D in or focusing on the specified areas by the appointment date of July 1, 2017, but strong ABDs will be considered.
