National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER)

The National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) also expects to be hiring an experienced early childhood policy analyst to our team. the primary role of this position is to support the implementation of NIEER’s policy analysis agenda by managing and conducting: reviews of research to address policy questions, data collection on state and federal policies through surveys and scans of public information including legislation, regulations, and media accounts. Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding early childhood policy at federal and state levels and employs this in developing reports of various lengths and formats for policy makers and others. Plans for and manages the data collection effort in association with the annual state pre-K yearbook. Works with research partners within the university and externally (other foundations, etc.) to share information and publicize Yearbook report. Supports and participates in policy analysis as needed, including management and synchronization of data from the state pre-K yearbook and other surveys and data sets over multiple years in coordination with other staff.
