Associate Program Director (Other) Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences National Science Foundation

Associate Program Director (Other)
Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences
National Science Foundation

The Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences Division at NSF is hiring a rotating associate program director in the behavioral sciences, start date to be negotiated.  Rotators often take a leave from their institutions to serve a one- to three-year stint overseeing proposal submission and review and rendering recommendations for funding decisions.  Importantly, the Foundation seeks active researchers to serve in these positions and does not expect rotators to place their research on hold.  Up to 20% of their effort can be dedicated to their own research.

This position is especially appropriate for early career scholars.  The associate director will provide support for programs and initiatives in the psychological sciences and neuroscience. Applications are encouraged from those with intellectual curiosity and broad interest who are eager to help shape the direction of their science.

NSF is a thriving intellectual environment with speaker series, workshops, and ample opportunity for interdisciplinary connections.
