Post-doctoral position in Developmental Social-Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience.
We invite applications for a post-doc position in Developmental and Social-Cognitive/Affective Neuroscience. The position will be part of a research project on the Moral self-concept in children and adults, examining the neurocognitive bases of the moral self and prosocial behavior including a developmental perspective. The project is founded by the European Research Council (ERC) and led by Markus Paulus. The project is currently located at the University of Munich (Germany). Founds are available for a period of up to 4 years, starting around September/October 2016.
The neurocognitive subproject will use EEG and fMRI to explore the neurocognitive correlates of the moral self-concept and its relation to moral behavior in children and adults. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience / psychology or a related field. Expertise with fMRI and/or EEG as well as solid skills in programming and neurocognitive data analysis techniques are required. Research experience with children is helpful, but not obligatory. Background knowledge in social cognition, moral cognition, self-concept theories, and related areas is welcome. The position will play a central role in the project, being involved in the other subprojects as well. The salary scale is 100% TV-L E13. We ask for a commitment of at least two years.
