Postdoctoral Opening in Cognitive Neuroscience

Postdoctoral Opening in Cognitive Neuroscience

We are interested in hiring an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow to work as part of  Dr. Ingrid Olson’s research team at Temple University studying the intersection of memory, social processing, and decision making with the ultimate goal of understanding social knowledge and the brain. Research will involve functional and structural brain imaging in adults. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to participate in the development of new research directions within the scope of this project.

Facilities: Research resources include a 3T MRI scanner, access to brain stimulation equipment and to an established lesion population at the University of Pennsylvania. The post-doc will have the opportunity to interact with a large network of collaborators, including Russell Epstein in the greater Philadelphia area. Philadelphia is a beautiful and affordable city, a 2- hour train ride away from New York City and Washington D.C.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in psychology or neuroscience; an emphasis on memory or social neuroscience is desirable.  Neuroimaging skills (especially with MVPA and DTI) are desirable. See http://sites.temple.edu/cnltu/ for more information on our lab and research including online versions of recent publications.

To apply, please send (1) a CV that includes a detailed description of technical and computer skills; and (2) a brief summary of why this position is a good fit for you. Please send as an email to Dr. Ingrid Olson at iolson@temple.edu.
